Arabic Conversation & Dialect II

Catalog description
This course continues students' exploration of the same regional dialect and culture taught in Arabic Conversation and Dialect I for that particular semester. The content of the course will be organized around specific themes that build on previously introduced topics (e.g., daily schedule, weddings, traveling, hobbies, etc.). Students will be required to engage actively in speaking activities and complete a variety of related oral practice assignments outside of class. Because of the significant contribution of technology in facilitating and empowering language learning and language teaching, a substantial part of communication, activities, and assignments will be done via programs such as Aswaat Arabiyya, BYKI, Film clips, Skype, Youtube, etc. Please contact the department for specific information on the upcoming semester's course content. Prerequisite: 82-117 Min. grade C
