Data Driven Business and Public Policy Decision Making

Catalog description
In this course students will learn to leverage data to inform business and policy decisions. The course will teach students various methods for data description, including techniques of data visualization and statistical techniques. Students will learn how to assess the precision of estimation techniques. The final part of the course covers examples taken from epidemiology, economics, business and public policy. (Lecture, 3 hours: Recitation: 1 hour). Minimum grade of "C" required in all economics and statistics pre-requisite courses. Prerequisites: ( 21-256 or 21-269 or 21-259 or 21-268 ) and 73-230 Min. grade C and 73-265 Min. grade C
