Catalog description
Design thinking is a powerful process for tackling complex challenges through creativity, empathy, and collaboration. Learn how to apply AI technologies like natural language processing (NLP), large language models (LLMs), big data and generative design to enhance creativity and create human-centered solutions. This course introduces design thinking principles, methods, and tools and explores essential techniques and frameworks—from problem framing and creative ideation to prototyping and user testing. We will fuse AI tools with design thinking methods to engage with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to bring positive changes to people and the planet and shape a more prosperous future for all. This course may use third-party course material that is not available for individual purchase from the publisher. If so, the third-party course material will be secured and provided by the Tepper School to students enrolled in the course, and students enrolled in the course will be required to pay to the University the associated additional course materials fee for the third-party course material provided. The amount of the course materials fee is dependent on the University's cost of the particular materials provided, and typically ranges from $13 to $75.
