Catalog description

This is not simply an introduction to business by giving an overview of business situations. This is a course that provides students with skills to analyze businesses. Why do some firms outperform others? Should our firm have multiple products or focus on one? What societal forces matter in business? When shoudl I enter a new market? If you wanted to take a single course that will help you make sense of businesses broadly, this is your course. If you want to get a strong foundation to understand why some firms are a better investment than others, this is your course. If you want to be able to discipline your logic to better argue with friends about why a company will succeed or fail, this is your course. We will use cases and group work to introduce and put to work key strategic business frameworks.
