Curious about the difference between commercial and non-profit galleries? Wondering how to connect with curators or how museums select art? Unsure if you should get an MFA or which residencies to apply to? This course provides artists with a foundational understanding of the art world, covering key support structures like museums, commercial galleries, DIY spaces, and residencies. You'll also gain concrete skills such as writing artist statements, networking, building an online presence, and pricing artwork. The goal is to equip students with the awareness, skills, and resourcefulness needed to navigate the ever-changing art world as studio-based fine artists.
