Catalog description

This course teaches the future music educator about the physiology and function of the human singing voice in both classical and popular styles. Vocal technique is taught in a group setting for students in the Music Education curriculum to explore and build their individual healthy vocal techniques, for the purpose of developing and implementing appropriate pedagogy to teach soloistic and choral music. Students will be expected to accompany other students on the piano during solo performances. Prerequisites: 57-161 Min. grade C and 57-191 Min. grade C and 57-181 Min. grade C
