Catalog description

This course serves to introduce students to the methodology aspect of vocal pedagogy, which requires a basic knowledge of anatomy, and general knowledge of vocal physiology. We will be hold in-class demonstrations on the broader topics covered in Vocal Pedagogy I, including but not limited to registration, posture, breathing for singing, resonance, formant tuning and articulation. In addition to classroom presentations, the professor will assign readings and give classroom lectures on working with students, assessing your strengths, and becoming critical thinkers.
