Beginning Piano for Children I

Catalog description

The course is designed as a weekly workshop aimed at preparing students to teach beginning piano students using "The Music Tree" piano method. The course will cover all the necessary aspects of teaching a beginner piano student comprehensively. This course will also require students to observe Beginning Piano group classes of the Preparatory School on Saturday mornings, either in person or via Zoom. Students will be required to write a weekly report on observation of these group classes and analyze the teaching tools used by the group classes' instructors. ***This course is open only to students pursuing the Piano Pedagogy Certificate.*** Prerequisite: 57-273
