Opera Lighting Design

Catalog description

Through hands-on lab exercises and preparation of full paper lighting design plots, students will study lighting design for Operetic Theatre. The class will learn to visually analyze the emotional content of music, explore the various forms of opera design, learning how to develop a design process, create focus in a large-scale space, and strategies for implementing a design. Prerequisite: 54-351
