Catalog description

This course will introduce students to the fundamentals of puppetry design, construction and performance. In this course students will explore object theatre, shadow puppetry, hand and rod and toy theatre. Additionally, we will investigate puppet mechanics and performance potentialities through puppet prototyping in connection to the upcoming production of The Little Prince. Through rehearsal and construction laboratories, students will work as playwright, designer, builder, director and performer.
