Design for the Stage: Time Based

Catalog description

This course is an introduction to the process of lighting design. Students will engage in various hands-on light lab exercises and group projects to explore the physical properties of light in storytelling. Discovery and experimentation are encouraged. Students will begin to build a process for visualizing a play though the principles of design, interpreting a text, and communicating ideas. Prerequisites: 54-171 and 54-170 and 54-172
