Catalog description

Students explore the basic principles and theories of sound design from technical, psychological and aesthetic standpoints. Course work includes instruction in the controllable properties of sound, practical planning of sound plots, cue creation, and the design process. Prerequisites: Basic Design and Design For The Stage. Drama majors have priority, however this course is also open to Music Technology majors and minors, or with permission of instructor. Prerequisites: 54-231 and 54-171 and 54-172 and 54-232
