Catalog description

This mini course offers a practical introduction to computational fabrication methods supporting exploratory and creative design research. Through exploratory exercises in three specific domains: computational drawing, generative fabrication, and flexible assembly systems, and a final project, participants learn how making and prototyping can be part of design investigations. The mini offers participants access to the new fabrication pod located in CM-A's Computational Design Laboratory, including desktop CNC, laser cutting, and paper cutting, and explore additional technologies in the school's D-Fab.
