Catalog description

This seminar introduces graduate students in Computational Design to the rudiments of graduate level academic research, and offers a space to discuss inchoate research methods, questions, and projects in the field. Assignments require students to gain familiarity with past and current research in the field in order to distinguish different research traditions, practices, opportunitiesand pitfalls. An emphasis is placed on the materialities and socio-technical infrastructures of computing. Course Website: http://SOA.cmu.edu
