Catalog description

This course is geared towards graduate students that are seeking an internship or new employment opportunities post-graduation. Focus includes building networking skills, verbal and communication skills and how to increase their human capital. Emphasis is placed on creating a personal career portfolio, which includes a resume, LinkedIn profile and techniques to prepare for internship and employment interviews. The course will also discuss a variety of issues within the modern workplace such as networking, business etiquette and inclusive workplace initiatives. The goal of this course is to make students more valuable and marketable professionals to the global market. This will be accomplished through assignments, guest speakers, reflections, and readings.
