Catalog description

This graduate course provides an introduction to modern cosmology, focusing on the theoretical framework and observational evidence that describe the origin, evolution, and fate of the Universe. Topics include cosmic expansion, thermal history, primordial nucleosynthesis, dark matter, dark energy, cosmic microwave background, structure formation, and cosmological probes. Students will explore how matter, radiation, and other particles evolved under the influence of gravity, hydrodynamics, and other physical processes to form the large-scale structure of the Universe. They will develop analytical, numerical, and computational problem-solving skills essential for graduate research in cosmology and related fields.
