Catalog description

Image-based computational modeling and analysis play an important role in mathematical modeling and computer simulation of many physical and biological phenomena. This course integrates mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, material sciences, computer science, and mathematics together. Topics to be studied include scanning techniques, image processing, geometric modeling, mesh generation, computational mechanics, as well as broad applications in biomedicine, material sciences and engineering.
