Professional Development for Mechanical Engineers

Catalog description
This course prepares students to communicate verbally as an engineer. Students will practice and receive feedback on their oral communication in a range of contexts, including formal presentations, elevator pitches, job interview questions, and communicating technical concepts to non-engineers. In addition, students will be introduced to a range of professional topics, including ethical decision-making, communicating in global contexts, negotiation strategies, and strategies for overcoming implicit bias.
