Special topics in SE: Software Design at Scale

Catalog description

Many computer science courses focus on a specific topic area (such as algorithms, data structures, machine learning, databases, etc.), and their programming assignments are limited in size so as to focus on the specific topic. Real-world software systems are often larger, and the techniques used to build smaller programs don't suffice. In this course, students learn the additional techniques required to design and implement high-quality software systems at scale, and practice these skills in a sequence of Java programming assignments of increasing scope.
