Catalog description
The course provides introductory level microbial science and molecular biology that is aimed for students from all disciplines of natural science. It covers microbiology, genetics, genomics, as well as bacterial, fungal, and protozoan pathogenesis. Topics include: the human microbiome, genome sequencing, gene transfer across species, virulence, and drug resistance. Prerequisites: 03-231 or 03-232
