Forensic Laboratory

Catalog description

This course introduces forensic chemistry and related laboratory techniques. Topics include the application of laboratory techniques and analytical equipment to compounds associated with blood alcohol content, illicit drugs, questioned document analysis, arson investigation, gunshot residues, and DNA. Upon completion, students should be able to perform common laboratory methods used in a forensic chemistry laboratory.
