Catalog description

This course introduces advanced techniques in a laboratory environment. Topics include synthesis, distillation, extraction, recrystallization, reflux techniques and the use of instrumentation to determine purity. Upon completion, students should be able to identify common glassware and perform advanced synthesis techniques presented.
