Catalog description

This course covers chemical safety and terminology with a focus on applications to chemical technology. Topics include chemical hazards, safe handling, storage, hazard recognition and control, waste management, OSHA regulations, and terminology used in a laboratory setting. Upon completion, students should be able to identify potential chemical safety hazards and the appropriate procedures to remediate such hazards.
