Catalog description

Continued emphasis is on improving competency in speaking and understanding Latin American and Castilian Spanish and developing proficiency in the written language. There is a greater emphasis on speaking proficiency. Methods of instruction include lecture, group discussion, and essay writing as a process. Textual materials used include current events from news sources and the internet, essays from the textbook, and student essays for presentation and critique.
