Catalog description

This survey course introduces students to the pre-formulation and manufacturing of pharmaceutical dosage forms such as tablets, capsules, sustained release preparations, ointments, and suspensions. In the laboratory portion of the course, students gain hands-on experience performing a variety of USP tests and unit operations. Prerequisite(s): PHSC 210 , PHSC 220 / PHSC 220L , PHSC 323 / PHSC 325 / PHSC 325L , and PHSC 410 / PHSC 411 / PHSC 411L . When Offered: Fall. Lecture/Lab Lab
