Catalog description

A comprehensive introductory course that provides students with an in-depth study of the theory and operation of scientific instrumentation typically found in pharmaceutical, chemical, and biotechnical research and analytical facilities. Students gain hands-on experience with a variety of spectroscopic and chromatographic instrumentation through structured laboratory experiments. Students must attend a weekly pre-lab session. Prerequisite(s): PHSC 220 / PHSC 220L , PHYS 221 , or by the permission of the instructor. When Offered: Spring. Lecture/Lab Lecture
