Catalog description

This introductory lecture and laboratory course provides an overview of the synthesis and metabolism of amino acids, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids; enzyme kinetics; bioenergetics; and macromolecular structure and function. Students must attend a weekly pre-lab session. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 227 / CHEM 228 and PHYS 221 When Offered: Fall. Lecture/Lab Lecture
