This course introduces the concepts and tools of lean manufacturing and quality. Lean manufacturing topics include types of waste, visual management, 5S, and value stream mapping. Quality engineering topics include the principles of Shewhart, Deming, and Taguchi; control charts; process capability analysis. Corequisite(s): ENGR 460 is the co-requisite for this course.
