Children’s Literature

Catalog description

This course is designed for teacher candidates to explore the genres, elements, and applications of children’s literature as well as resources available for classroom teachers. Coursework involves engaging in professional book discussions, designing instructional strategies to include reader response, creating text sets for use in a K-6 classroom, and constructing criteria for text selection.
