Catalog description

A study of the development of our present-day educational system, with emphasis on historical background and development, aims of education in a democracy, duties of the teacher, purpose and development of the curriculum, facilities, support, and control of the schools. The course is designed to be a foundation for further study in education as well as a general college elective. Additional information concerning Campbell University’s Professional Education program requirements and the state of North Carolina licensure requirements will be provided.
