Catalog description

This course is designed for prospective elementary and special education teachers. This course focuses on tasks that are essential for effective teaching of elementary mathematics. Students will investigate strategies to implement rich math tasks, with multiple representations and the use of manipulatives, in addition to analyzing student strategies and errors. At the conclusion of this course, students will be required to take the math portion of their elementary/SPED licensure test. Prerequisite(s): EDUC 206 When Offered: Spring
