Catalog description
This course discusses thermodynamics including nonideal gas behavior with fugacity in the context of cycles. We also introduce heat transfer concepts of conduction, convection and radiation, heat transfer coefficients, and heat duty in several chemical engineering heat exchangers. These include shell and tube, double pipe and extended area heat exchangers . Prerequisite(s): Grade of C or higher in ENGR 310 Corequisite(s): MATH 310 or MATH 337
