Catalog description

A study of the cell, with a focus on eukaryotic cells. Emphasis will be placed on the fundamental principles such as the unity and diversity of cell biology, the relationship between structure and function, cell regulation, the flow of genetic information, and cell specialization. Methods in cell biology will be interwoven throughout the course. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 111 (grade of C or better strongly recommended). When Offered: Spring semester and occasional summers. Lecture/Lab Three lecture and three laboratory hours per week.
