Catalog description

This course is designed to give students practical work experience and on -the-job training in the field of Computer Science. This course is offered on a S/U basis only. A maximum of 6 credits may be taken. In addition to the satisfactory completion of the approved internship, a minimum of 50 hours’ work per credit hour is required. Department permission is required to enroll in this course. Before the student can enroll in the course, they must ask the employer to issue a “Letter of Appointment” to the Department Coordinator of Computer Science regarding their intent to hire the student. The letter shall describe the conditions under which the employer will hire the intern and the nature of the internship project. Upon approval by the Computer Science Coordinator, the student will be able to enroll in this course. Internship 0- 6 hours.
