Introduction to historic and contemporary illustration and consideration of a wide range of illustrative styles. Required experiments with media and consideration of alternate ways of illustrating a message through conceptual and compositional variations. Studio 6 hours. 743 ADVANCED COMPUTER GRAPHICS AND IMAGE ENHANCEMENT 3 credit hours Use of computer software (primarily Photoshop) to capture, create and alter electronic images for use in graphic design and illustration applications with an emphasis on concept and thematic development. Skillful production of portfol io pieces via learned software. Studio 6 hours. Prerequisite: ART 3213.
