Catalog description

Explores strengths of Latine communities in the US and Latin America in psychology and acknowledges the resilience of Latine families. Critiques how broader systems of power and oppression have shaped the lived experiences of those in the Latine community. Emphasizes culturally responsible approaches and perspectives. Through readings, discussions, and activities, students will develop critical thinking skills and an understanding of culturally responsive perspectives and research practices that shape psychology.
