Catalog description

This course provides an in-depth examination of the politics and history of disability in the United States. Particular emphasis will be placed on current and recent American political issues impacting disabled communities. Topics may include elections, legislative and executive representation, interest group formation, legal and judicial proceedings, and policy development.
