Study of Latin American philosophers whose work covers issues related to the culture and politics of Latin America. Topics include meta-philosophical questions such as whether there is a distinctively Latin American philosophy, as well as historical and contemporary debates pertaining to the Iberian conquest, Latin American feminism, democracy, globalization, and race and identity.
