This course addresses the following competencies: educational priorities for students with Extensive Support Needs (ESN); planning for effective meetings and collaborative problem-solving with families and colleagues related to IEP development; effective strategies for organizing the daily schedule for the classroom/caseload; coaching and providing training to paraprofessional staff; effective instructional design based in general education content standards and other social, motor, and sensory development.
