Catalog description

This course aims to engage candidates in the processes of selecting, developing, and implementing effective and appropriate teaching strategies to support students with mild/moderate support needs within inclusive settings. These strategies include differentiated instruction, collaborative teaming to design and evaluate integrated services, assistive technology to support access to general education curriculum, implementation of UDL, modifications and adaptations of state standards. Candidates also are expected to develop competencies in the formulation of Individualized Education Programs. In addition, candidates will learn about critical concepts and strategies related to MTSS, SWPBS, and SEL.
