Catalog description

Prepares teacher candidates for PK-3rd grade classrooms to design developmentally appropriate curriculum that integrates science/history-social studies content so that all students, including English learners and students with special needs, acquire observation skills, analytical and critical thinking skills, and disciplinary literacy skills. Candidates will learn to develop integrated thematic instruction based on student assets and interests as well as pertinent issues in local communities.
