Catalog description

The course introduces blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies, and distributed ledger concepts. Topics include cryptography, digital signatures, consensus protocol, crypto wallet, incentivization mechanism, exploration of byzantine generals' problems, proof of work and proof of of stake consensus protocol. Students will also learn about design and evaluation of decentralized applications, blocks, transactions, gas calculation, analysis of scalable blockchain solutions and development of decentralized application using blockchain networks.
