Catalog description

An exploration of the art and architecture of medieval Europe, Western Asia, and North Africa, including histories of illuminated manuscripts, reliquaries, castle and cathedral architecture, and other paintings and sculptures. Emphasis will be placed on cross-cultural interaction, specifically on religious art at the crossroads of Christianity, Islam, Judaism, and paganism.
