Catalog description

Provides an introduction to primate social systems and the factors that influence their maintenance and evolution, including foraging strategies, demographic processes, mating and rearing strategies, conflicts and coalitions, and communication. Discussion of the theory guiding primate behavioral research will be supplemented with readings emphasizing current research in the field, to provide an understanding of how behavioral research is conducted and the diversity of primate behavior.
