Catalog description

School Social Work is an elective course designed to help student's gain a greater understanding of the role of a school social worker, and its implications for social work practice. The focus of this course is on the application of theories, concepts, and principles in the direct/indirect practice of children and their families. This course will utilize an ecological perspective with emphasis placed on the ethical dimensions faced in a public school setting. This course will be delivered as a hybrid format and it will have a weekly face-to-face lecture. The course is offered only to MSW students.
