Catalog description
This course studies the history and literature of the Christian tradition from its beginnings as a small group within Judaism and may include its transformation into Orthodox, Roman Catholic, Anglican, and Protestant branches. The course especially emphasizes context (social, cultural, historical, religious) and history (development over time), but also includes such topics as morals and ethics, practice, and spirituality. It considers Christianity in both its historical and modern contexts.
