Catalog description

This course will address the rapidly changing field of cognitive science and the role of new technologies in the field. The focus will be on how different technologies have helped cognitive science advance rapidly in the last 30 years, how they have changed the way we think about cognition, and how they have helped us find new treatments for disabilities such as those caused by Alzheimer's Disease and strokes. Theories and evidence about different cognitive processes such as perception, attention, memory, and language as well as the technological advances that have helped cognitive scientists make major strides in the understanding of human thought processing. Lecture/discussion.
