This course is an introduction to philosophical issues arising from the fields of psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Topics within the philosophy of psychology include computational and connectionist theories of cognition, the innateness and modularity of mind hypotheses, current theories of concepts, our understanding of other minds, animal and machine minds, theories of emotions, theories of moral psychology, evolutionary psychology, relations between folk and scientific psychology, consciousness and neuroscience, embodied and extended minds, perception, the psychoanalytic tradition, depth psychology, phenomenological approaches to intentionality, and views on human rationality.
