This course examines philosophical concepts discussed in novels, short stories, poetry, and film that are intricately related to human nature. Such concepts include: self and self-realization, knowledge, morality, God, good and evil, meaning, friendship, love and eros. Authors from various historical periods, cultures, and backgrounds will be included.
