Catalog description

Supervised nurse practitioner role development practice with a preceptor and faculty guidance in a primary care and community-based setting. Problem solving strategies as they apply to multiethnic clients and culturally diverse client/systems are implemented through the utilization of theoretical models and research across practice settings. Emphasis is placed on advanced competency in the formation and evaluation of comprehensive evidence based plans of care for complex and multisystem disorders. Extensive clinical experiences prepare the student to assume the role and professional responsibilities of the entry level FNP.
